The Dude’s Room
Some of you have asked about The Dude’s room, and if we have started decorating it yet. Not yet. But we are planning…
Ah planning… We’ve got all our decorations picked and registered at Target. And we are picking up the main furniture from Babies R Us on Monday (mainly because we have coupons that are good next week only!) The furniture will stay in the garage until my Mom gets here in September and then we are going to set it all up together. Plus Mariki is here in 10 days, and she is small, but I am pretty sure she won’t fit in the crib!
So my Dad drew up the room and furniture to scale on Auto CAD and I have to say I am impressed! I cut out the furniture and can move it around the room to see what fits best. One suggestion he made was to change the closet doors to bypass doors, so they don’t swing out, giving us more room. But I think we will look at that in December, when he’s here too.
So here’s the plan so far:
The only thing is, there is no room for the couch! The green couch in my office looks HUGE compared to the other pieces. And the spare bed that is currently in there is going to go where the couch currently is so my parents have a place to stay when they come for a few weeks in December / January. Hmmm. I know it will work out. I’ve setup enough rooms and stores to know that the stuff knows where it wants to go. You just have to figure it out. Plus I think it will be a lot easier once the furniture is in, so we can move it in a see how it looks in actuality.
Unfortunately, when I say “we” can move it around… I really mean Scott.

Registry
Some of you have been asking if we have registered and where etc. Well we finally got a good list together and have registered at the following three places:
Babies R Us (listed under Andrea Reed in Kiefer, OK)
Babies R Us is our main registry but there are some really great items that they don’t have. And we HAD to add Target. Amazon is great for free shipping and has some awesome natural products. We found we had a really great experience registering at all the stores, with very helpful people.
But who knew there was so much stuff out there for babies!?!
